Bless my sister’s friend. She works at the pool, so she got me in to meet her. Took a few days because she was so busy, but she finally met me (I think she even gave up her lunch break to do so).  I was standing there, waiting for her to come out.. and girlfriend just walked RIGHT UP TO ME. I mean practically nose to nose. loll I wasn’t expecting that so I was like “O DEER. PERSONAL SPACE! PERSONAL SPACE!” but then again.. it was Kate Fucking Winslet.  Personal Space gtfo. 

I always thought I would be cool and calm if I ever met a celebrity… yeah no.  I’m surprised I even knew how to speak. She’s one of my role models, so it was def a ~shaking and crying~ moment.

She talked to me for about 15 minutes, she noticed the scar on my shoulder and asked what happened.. and I mentioned how I had cancer when I was 7, turns out her first boyfriend died of the exact thing I had.  Then I was all “Oh great, I meet Kate Winslet and I’ve depressed her, FML” But, she hugged me about 10 times and then I pulled out my depressing little 10 dollar camera, she laughed and said that it would never get a decent photo. So, she called over the photographer of the film to take our picture.  She’s…lovely, so lovely.
