Day 29- Who’s private lifestyle shocked you the most

The only person I could think of was Carole Lombard. Mainly because… looking at her, I never would have guessed she could swear like a sailor, strap on a dildo to scare away unwanted sexual advances, buy Clark Gable a penis-warmer etc. lol I remember when I first started reading up about her and I was a bit shocked to learn how risque she was at times, which just goes to show… don’t judge a book by its cover.

Day 28- A movie you never expected yourself to enjoy

I actually never thought I would enjoy Gone with the Wind as much as I do. I put off watching the whole thing for the longest time because it looked so long and boring and… I always thought it was probably overrated. Then a few years ago, I sat down one afternoon, finally watched the whole thing and fell in love. It’s now one of my favorite films ever and to think.. I almost missed out on it.

Day 27- Who’s death hit you the hardest and why

Honestly? Reading about James Dean’s death hit me the hardest. Just.. ugh. Reading about his injuries and then reading that he didn’t die until 10 minutes AFTER the crash? Broke my heart even more. :’( Plus the fact that he was only 24? Just.. holy shit, so sad. I’ll be 23 in July and to think he was only one year older than me when he died… poor Jimmy ♥

I really just want the truth about the night Natalie Wood died. I don’t buy for one second that she just “fell in”. Granted, they were very drunk that night, but there’s too many holes in the story, too much shit doesn’t add up. Someone is lying. But.. even though I think something else went down.. I’m not sure I would believe it was intentional, probably an accident.. but all the same.. someone is covering something up.  Most likely, we’ll never know the whole truth, too many years have passed and people forget things, but yeah.. that’s the one thing I’ve always wanted the answer to.

Melanie Hamilton. She always saw the good in people and treated them with kindness, even when they didn’t really deserve it (looking at you Scarlett lol)

I do wish I could be more like that sometimes and not have hatred towards certain people.  It really is just wasted energy, ah.. maybe one day I can learn to be more like Melanie.

I hate doing a tie, but I really can’t choose between The Wizard of Oz and Gone with the Wind (I know, I know.. what a cliché to pick those two lol).  Both of these films mean a lot to me and I’ve grown to love them equally. ♥

I think Bombshell is underrated. It’s such a delightful, funny film and I never hear anyone really talk about it. It’s one of my favorites and Jean Harlow is fantastic in it (as usual) ♥

Audrey Hepburn.  In my opinion, she’s the epitome of class, grace and elegance. I’ve always wished I could be more like Audrey, so I wouldn’t mind trading places with her, so I could know what it felt like to be so lovely ♥.
